The newborn son of Sweden’s Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia has been named Julian Herbert Folke.
The Swedish court revealed the name on Sunday. The little prince will also become the duke of Halland.
Prince Julian is the first to be born into the Swedish royal family without the title of royal highness, asKing Carl Gustaf decided in 2019 that the number of family members who become part of the official royal house should be limited.
Prince Carl Philip is the little brother of Crown Princess Victoria.
He and Princess Sofia already have two children, and Prince Julian was born at Danderyd hospital outside Stockholm on Friday.
