Large Swedish ski resorts report record numbers for the winter season. In Stöten in Sälen, 95% of the capacity has already been booked.

For Funäsfjällen, booking rates are at a level that is 30% higher than last year, which was also a record year. Åre reports an increase of 14%.

More travelers and ski enthusiasts are coming to the resorts from abroad.

“17% of the bookings come from Denmark. Last year, it was 0% since the border was closed,” Johan Torn, director of Stöten in Sälen, noted.

This year, both restaurants, bars, and nightclubs at the ski resorts plan to stay open, but there is some uncertainty with regard to possible corona restrictions this season as well.
