A Swedish woman has died in a base jumping accident in Møre og Romsdal
A Swedish woman in her 20’s has died in a base jumping accident on Saturday at the Katthammeren mountain in Møre og Romsdal.
According to Romsdals Budstikke, the woman followed two other men when the accident occurred. They are also Swedish.
“The two men are receiving counseling and their relatives are being contacted by the police,” says operations manager Erik Mikalsen.
The police were notified of the accident in the Nesset municipality at 16:45, Saturday afternoon.
“The person was in hilly terrain about 800 meters from the top,” said operations manager Tove Anita Asp, Saturday afternoon to NTB.
In the evening the same day, the woman was declared dead.
