Widerøe will temporarily take over the flight route between Røros and Oslo after the Ministry of Transport and Communications terminated the contract with Air Leap.

Widerøe will start its scheduled flights in the afternoon on Friday, January 28. There will be some changes in the flight schedule, the Ministry of Transport and Communications states.

The temporary agreement will stay in place until April 1, 2022. The Ministry of Transport and Communications is now starting work on announcing a tender for a new agreement.

The flight route between Røros and Oslo is a so-called “FOT” route, which refers to flight routes where the authorities, after a tender, pay a fee for an operator to operate the route in accordance with established requirements.
