Ten new corona cases reported in Tromsø

Ten new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Tromsø in the last 24 hours.

“There are quite high numbers now – more than in a long time,” infection control chief Trond Brattland told the newspaper iTromsø.

Of the ten new cases of infection, six are close contacts, three have been infected outside the Municipality, and one has not been mapped yet because the test results have been reported late.

However, the chief infection control officer is optimistic.

“Now we are in another situation, and many have received their first dose of the vaccine. It reduces the risk of infection somewhat,” he said.
