The Bureau for the Investigation of Police Affairs investigates possible police leaks
The Norwegian Bureau for the Investigation of Police Affairs will investigate possible leaks of recording of the police which may be linked to Geir Selvik Malthe-Sørenssen in the Treholt case.
The investigation concerns breaches of confidentiality the online newspaper Nettavisen writes.
– This me were considering the best way to pursue this matter based on the information in the media. Then we got a call from Eastern Police District, from the former Asker and Bærum Police. We decided then that we would open an investigation to determine whether the communications surveillance and recording of a criminal case went astray, chief investigator Life Oyen in the Bureau says to the news agency NTB .
