The corona infection rate in Kristiansand is falling

Although the corona infection rate is on its way down in Kristiansand, no major relief in local corona measures is expected in the coming weeks.

The local authorities will discuss the local corona measures on Monday. The municipal administration believes that the measures must continue at approximately the current level until Monday, March 29, Fædrelandsvennen writes.

That means, among other things, that upper secondary schools will have to continue operating at the “red” level, that most events will remain banned, and that gyms will remain closed.

“We must bring the number of infected further down, and therefore we must continue with the measures.

“But I feel that I am more optimistic about the summer when we see that we can do something about the infection. It is important for both individuals and the business community,” Mayor Jan Oddvar Skisland (AP) noted.

A total of 811 people in Kristiansand have been infected with corona this year, Sunday’s figures showed.
