As the government decided to introduce mandatory coronavirus for travelers entering Norway, the test station at Gardermoen will be scaled up.

From Saturday at 10 o’clock, everyone who travels to Norway must test for COVID-19.

The test must be performed as soon as possible and no later than one day after arrival.

“Ullensaker Municipality has, therefore, in consultation with the Norwegian Directorate of Health and other partners, established a plan for upscaling the test station at OSL Gardermoen,” the Municipality stated in a press release.

Norwegian citizens will also have access to the test station.

“Travelers who arrive at Gardermoen from abroad will be guided to the test station area, which will now be expanded to two test stations, where a distinction will be made between those who will continue to quarantine hotels and other travelers,” unit leader Elisabeth Nordal in the Municipality noted.

The test station at Gardermoen was established in August. About 20% of travelers have taken advantage of the testing offer.
