The Coronavirus crisis has led to major changes in the way that Bymisjon Kirke works. On Thursday, they had a video meeting with the Crown Prince couple, who paid tribute to them for their efforts.

Bymisjon was praised by the Crown Prince couple, which gave the organization a boast for their efforts to safeguard the weak in society through the Coronavirus crisis.

– “It is often that these groups are initially most vulnerable, and which are also the most exposed in such crisis. Then it’s important that organizations like theirs are out there and make an extra effort for those who need it most,” said Crown Prince Haakon.

Bymisjon is now doing more outreach work, by meeting people digitally or face to face. In Oslo, a special bicycle to deliver soup has been put in place, which delivers food to the elderly who previously met at the senior center.
