Crown Prince Haakon was impressed by the students who performed during Boreali’s winter festival in Alta – and by dogs and dog runners in the Finnmarksløpet.

The Crown Prince is in Alta, among other things, to mark the 40th anniversary of the famous dog race.

“Dog runners are a real tough guys, but I think we can agree that the dogs are too,” he said in a speech Thursday night.

The visit also included the opening of the Borealis Winter Festival, and the Crown Prince saw the opening performance and he was impressed.

– “There are high school students who have a little above average talent up here,” he commented.
