The Red Cross in Denmark is helping people who need assistance to get to their vaccination appointments. According to the organization, without assistance, some people would not be able to get the vaccine.

The elderly who experience pain, back problems, or other physical challenges often turn to the Red Cross helpline to get to the vaccine centers.

According to the Red Cross, young people who struggle with anxiety or PTSD also get in touch to find a supporter who can accompany them to their vaccination appointment.

“We notice that there is a need for this helpline because there are some (people) out there who have a small or no network,” Marie-Louise Gotholdt, leader of the Danish Red Cross, stated.

The Danish government has allocated NOK 4.5 million for the measure. The Red Cross believes that some people would not be able to get the vaccine without the help.
