The Directorate of Health now believes that the risk of dying from Covid-19 is lower than during the virus outbreak.
-” Yes, we believe so, and it is not in the very least connected to the use of dexamethasone, which has been the focus of some British studies. It has shown a decrease in the lethality among the seriously ill.”, said Bjørn Guldvong, the Director of Health at NTB, at a press conference on the ongoing Corona situation last Wednesday afternoon.
Dexamethasone is a drug that British scientists have tested with over 2000 Corona patients.
-” I believe that the lethality is affected and is lower that we initially had for the seriously ill.”, said Guldvog.
The Director of Health does not have the exact number for the lethality, but have said that they have seen a decrease on the lethality among the seriously ill by 20-25 percent.
