The European Commission has proposed spending an additional EUR 500 million on military aid to Ukraine, which is twice as much as previously agreed.

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said on Friday that he was confident that EU leaders attending this week’s summit outside Paris would agree to step up funding for military aid to Ukraine.

The support will make Ukrainian forces better equipped to fight against the Russian forces.

The EU summit started on Thursday and will end on Friday. The discussions at the summit have largely revolved around how the EU can help Ukraine and how the Union will deal with the energy crisis that is building up in the wake of the war.

  1. So the Lemming Fever escalates, and now Western Europe … or Brussels, anyway … has declared open war on nuclear superpower Russia.
This is like being trapped in Jonestown, Guyana. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonestown
The authorities say the Jodix anti-radiation pills are to be saved for children and young adults, claiming older people won’t die of radiation-induced cancers before they would die naturally anyway. Actually, people can die – horribly – of radiation exposure itself, in the absence of adequate fallout shelters which for this Norwegian Peace Prize government is no priority in comparison to feeding the war.

I assume suicide pills to save older people from unnecessarily suffering are being stocked then. How about purple Kool-Aid?

I would assume Jodix pills will no longer be rationed when there is a sufficient supply, and I would assume the Norwegian government is making that right now its top priority. ?

But, again, iodine pills are no substitute at all for real adequately provisioned and legally supervised fallout shelters, but our politicians charge on oblivious to our our families’ lives they are terminally risking playing chicken with Russia.

As I think I’ve written before, I was a high school junior during the October 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis when we all thought we might be about to die – and were nearly right, except for that brave, order-disobeying Russian missile sub captain – but the nuclear confrontation today is infinitely more dangerous every day, and now this completely unnecessary war, which we could have prevented by giving the fair treaty we owe them after betraying our past security promises to them, is completely beyond belief.

Heaven help our families. This terminally irresponsible, reckless government certainly isn’t.

  2. Correction: I feel like my kids are trapped in Jonestown, Guyana.
