In an extraordinary Cabinet meeting, the government on Sunday decided to ban foreigners without a residence permit in Norway for reasons of public health.

This is stated in a brief press release Sunday morning.

The other regulation that was adopted was a ban on residence on leisure properties on the occasion of the coronavirus pandemic.

The cabin ban means that the government can thus force people to go home from their cabins with the law in hand if necessary.

Prime Minister Erna Solberg (H) has already urged people on Saturday to return home from their cabins. She also warned that the Civil Defense would be called in to seek out people and ask them to go home.
