The government introduces requirements for table service of alcohol at events. These are the same requirements that apply to restaurants.

The requirements will apply from midnight, Wednesday evening, The Ministry of Health and Care services informs NTB.

The Minister of Health, Bent Høie (H), says the requirement is introduced to reduce the risk of infections at events.

-”It is allowed to have up to 200 people at events held at public areas. The requirement for table service will apply to events with a license to serve alcohol. The purpose behind the rule is, among other things, to avoid congestion and queues at bars and the like.”, says Høie.

Since August 8, Events with liquor license have been barred from serving alcohol after midnight, and all alcohol served before midnight  has had to be consumed by 00:30.

In accordance with the current regulations, the organizers are also obliged to implement measures that make it possible to maintain good hygiene and ensure that patients are not present at  the event.

The organizer must also keep an overview of participants and carry out the event with a infection control-sound manner.
