King Harald says he likes the TV series “The Crown”, which is about the British royal house. But he would rather such a series is not made about himself.
“We have seen some episodes,” said the king, who met Norwegian press in Petra in Jordan on Wednesday.
The king, who himself is related to the British royal house, can tell that the impression of the series is good. But when asked if we should have had a similar series about the Norwegian royal family, the answer is clear:
“Don’t hope so,” the king says, laughing.
The successful series “The Crown” was launched in 2016 and has since gone on for three seasons. It is about the life of Queen Elisabeth II of Britain and her reign in Britain.
Although the king expresses that he does not want to become a TV series character, Nordisk Film has previously informed NRK that they are planning a series about the king’s grandparents, King Haakon and Queen Maud.
