The king on the difficult period: – It will take time

King Harald says life is about to return to normal after a bad winter, but that it will take time to move forward after Ari Behn’s death.

“It will take some time. Not a little either, I think. We have three grandchildren who have lost their father. So it will take time,” says King Harald to the Norwegian press in Jordan.

It is the first time the royal couple has answered questions about how they feel after their former son-in-law took his own life this Christmas.

“The worst of it has started to settle, and then normalize a little,” the king continued.

The royal couple ended a three-day state visit to Jordan in the ancient city of Petra on Wednesday, and the king thinks it is good to be back at work.

“It’s great,” he said.

In January, the king was admitted to the Rikshospitalet due to dizziness, but no serious illness was detected.

Now he is fully back to work, and both he and the queen have been active during the state visit, which is their first in the Middle East.
