Coop has previously reported Espen Andersen Bråthen, the man charged with the murders in Kongsberg, to the police.

Coop confirmed that the accused man had been reported earlier, the newspaper VG writes.

“It is a challenge for shops close to the city center in several places… There are people who repeatedly – and over time – behave threateningly. That makes the employees feel uncomfortable and, in many cases, threatened,” communications director Bjørn Friis in Coop Norge told the newspaper.

Some of the man’s attacks in Kongsberg took place in the Coop Extra store in the city. There, Bråthen shot several people with a bow and arrow before he escaped from the police and killed several people with stabbing weapons.
