The municipality of Oslo opened a separate telephone line, on Monday at 12 o’clock, for people who are ill and suspect they are infected with the coronavirus.

“The corona telephone line increases accessibility to health services in Oslo and will relieve the emergency services that are experiencing a great deal of stress,” says Johan L. Torper, medical specialist in the city council’s department for the elderly, health and work, in a press release.

Lately, there has been a great increase in calls to the emergency service’s telephone lines. The municipality therefore has created a new line so that seriously ill people will reach the emergency service.

The coronavirus phone line has the number 21 80 21 82, and it is open between 12pm and 9pm on weekdays and between 12.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
