The Norwegian Directorate of Health had planned a “proper” Christmas dinner party, but the event has now been canceled.
“It was very painful to cancel this party. It was a long-awaited party,” assistant health director Olav Valen Slåttebrekk told Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK).
According to the plan, the employees were to gather at the Norwegian Directorate of Health’s premises in Oslo on Friday next week. A big party was planned to mark the first Christmas dinner party after two years.
“We really needed to meet again, and there was a great need to see each other and get back to normal. We had planned this for several months. But now we see that the overall assessment of the situation indicates that we need to postpone the event,” Slåttebrekk said.
