Minister of Health Bent Høie (H) confirms that the government is working to provide updated travel advice ahead of the winter holidays in week 8 and week 9.

“We would have liked to put the information out even faster, but due to the situation that has arisen, we need more time,” Høie noted at a press conference on Wednesday.

He reiterated that people should not plan leisure trips abroad at Easter or earlier.

The Minister of Health also explained why the government has not come up with a clearer definition of the notion of “unnecessary travel.”

“Sometimes it is very necessary to visit family elsewhere in the country, other times it is completely unnecessary.

“We want people to limit these trips, but each individual must decide for themselves. Most people are good at it,” Høie said.

  1. Somehow, I suspect Will Ferrell may not be visiting. 🙂

Norway Today, check this out! “Will Ferrell hates Norway in GM’s Super Bowl ad teaser” 🙂

Shades of Colbert’s bit on Norway’s butter shortage – crisis – some years ago? 🙂

Can’t wait to see the whole ad, although I doubt I’ll be wasting my time watching the Super Bowl itself.

“2 Vikings killing each other” sums up pretty well a lot of what was happening back then. The Icelandic sagas are filled with blood feuds. The Godfather in the Land of Fire and Ice.
