Minister of Labor and Social Inclusion Marte Mjøs Persen (AP) says the government is working on integrating Ukrainian refugees into Norwegian society quickly.

During the government’s press conference, it was explained how Norway plans to deal with an expected flow of up to 30,000 refugees from Ukraine this year.

Minister of Labor and Social Inclusion Marte Mjøs Persen stated that systems are in place to get as many people as possible into Norwegian society as soon as possible.

“Many of the refugees from Ukraine will be able to go straight into a fast lane and get to work quickly,” Mjøs Persen stated.

She says that the authorities will have close contact with working life and civil society, as well as ensure Norwegian language and society education before the refugees are settled in the municipalities.
