From Saturday, travelers who have a valid corona certificate can drive over the old Svinesund bridge from Sweden to Norway.
The Norwegian government allowed the reopening of the bridge to ease the pressure on the border at Svinesund.
“I want to emphasize that everyone in the car must be fully vaccinated (having had COVID-19 in the last six months is also considered satisfactory).
“Children who are not covered by the exceptions in the COVID-19 regulations must still use the new Svinesund bridge,” Minister of Justice and Emergency Management Monica Mæland (H) stated.
The decision has the goal of limiting the queues at the new bridge.
