The Oslofjord tunnel is set to reopen on Thursday at noon, after being closed since August 2 due to damage from a car fire.

“We are very happy to be able to open ahead of time and in good time before the weekend,” Anine Kalmo Larsen in the Norwegian Public Roads Administration stated.

The tunnel was originally supposed to be closed until August 17, but it is reopening five days ahead of schedule.

Normally, almost 10,000 vehicles a day use the tunnel.

The Norwegian Public Roads Administration confirmed that everything has been returned to the condition before the fire, and that all on-site work has been completed.
