Six people suffered minor burns in connection with a pyrotechnic accident at the Treungenfestivalen in Telemark on Sunday. The police are investigating the accident.

The police received a report about the accident at 0:45 AM on Sunday.

It was initially reported that three stage workers suffered minor burns. On Sunday morning, the police stated that a total of six people suffered minor burns as a result of the accident, Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) reports.

“Six people have received minor burns. One has possibly received second-degree burns to the face. Now a case will be opened, and it will be investigated further,” operations manager Marianne Mørch in the Southeastern Police District said.

The accident occurred in connection with the launch of fireworks at the festival.
