The police are investigating the mistreatment of swans in Stavanger

The police state that they are investigating the mistreatment of several swans at Breiavannet in Stavanger.

Two men are said to have mistreated the swans. According to the tip the police have received, the incident happened around 10:30 PM on Wednesday. The police have lodged a report for a breach of the Animal Welfare Act, the police in southwest say.

“The police have a video that shows the incident, but so far, we have not identified the two men,” Per Terje Brundtland stated.

The video has also been shared on social media.

“The police do not know the condition of the swans, but we have not received a report that dead swans have been found in the area since this happened,” Brundtland added.
