Police are planning to open some services to the public again next week, says Justice Minister Monica Mæland (Høyre).

Since March 13, police public services have been closed to physical attendance.

“Next week, the police districts will be partially reopened for selected public services. It will initially apply to reports of serious crime, issuing of passports and agreements in residence and immigration cases,” Mæland said at a press conference on Tuesday afternoon.

Before this can be practically implemented, the necessary preventive measures must be ensured.

“It is still the case that all those who can call or use the Internet are encouraged to do so,” the Justice Minister continued.
