The police handed out 626 fines outside schools in Oslo, Asker and Bærum

A week of speed inspections at schools in Oslo, Bærum and Asker resulted in 7 driver’s license seizures, 142 speeding fines and 319 fines for mobile phone use.

A driver was caught at 96 kilometers per hour in the 50-zone, writes P4.

A total of 626 fines were handed out to 724 drivers who were checked between Monday and Thursday.

– “They do not always understand the consequences of what they do. Children are the smallest road users we have, and we actually have a duty to pay extra attention to them,” says communications manager Ingrid Trømborg in Trygg Trafikk to the channel.
