The Police Security Service (PST) will investigate the cyber-attack on the Norwegian parliament (Storting) that occurred on Wednesday.

The information was confirmed by senior adviser Martin Bernsen at the PST to newspaper VG.

“The Storting submitted a report on Wednesday that they were exposed to a data breach where unauthorized persons have gained access to their computer systems, and we are launching an investigation,” Bernsen said.

The National Security Authority (NSM) is also assisting the Storting.

According to the NSM, a dozen Norwegian companies have been affected by the worldwide attack on Microsoft Exchange, but there may be many more.
