The King and Crown Prince welcomed Slovenia’s President Borut Pahor on Wednesday. As a gift, Pahor brought foldable skis.

While the skis from the Slovenian Elan factory were probably made for Crown Prince Haakon, the president gave the art-happy Queen Sonja a tree made of metal wire.

“The tree is a symbol of man’s connection to nature,” it is stated in the description of the work.

King Harald, in turn, got a collection of flies used in fly fishing.

From Norway, Pahor received, among other things, a work of art and a book about Norway. The President was also awarded the Grand Cross (Storkorset) in the Order of St. Olav.

The president arrived in Oslo on Wednesday. The royal couple is hosting the two-day visit where, among other things, technology and “green change” will be on the agenda.
