Prime Minister Erna Solberg (H) will meet the Belarusian opposition leader Svetlana Tikhanovskaya during her visit to Lithuania next week.
– Svetlana Tikhanovskaya is a leading figure in the protests. She calls for dialogue and a peaceful solution to the situation. I look forward to meeting Tikhanovskaya and to getting her views on how we and the international community as such can contribute in the best possible way, Solberg says to NTB.
The Prime Minister will visit the Lithuanian capital Vilnius, where she will also meet the Lithuanian President and Prime Minister, and visit Norwegian soldiers stationed in the country. Tikhanovskaya has been in exile since shortly after the presidential election in Belarus.
