Two weeks after the extreme weather event “Gyda” destroyed the road, the E39 at Vinjeøra is ready for traffic again.

“We had to rebuild everything. The road has been upgraded. We are very pleased to be finished so soon,” construction manager Arnt Inge Ødegård in the Norwegian Public Roads Administration told Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK).

It took barely two weeks to rebuild the road, which was completely destroyed when the storm Gyda ravaged several places in the country.
