The rules for driving practice are simplified – until further notice

The Norwegian Public Roads Administration has simplified the rules for driving practice. It is now allowed to practice driving even if you have not completed the first aid part of the basic traffic course.

The reason is that first aid is the only part of the basic traffic course that cannot be completed online.

“Private driving practice is important to give the youth as much driving experience as possible before they start driving alone. Therefore, we are reducing the requirement for the proportion of the basic traffic course you must have completed in order to be able to practice,” says section manager Dag Terje Langnes at the Norwegian Public Roads Administration.

The rule change is only provisional and applies as long as the corona measures make physical review of the first aid part impossible.
