This year’s potato crop yield is expected to be 4% smaller compared with last season.

The harvest of potatoes is in full swing, but this year’s crop of potatoes seems to be smaller than last year, according to a crop survey conducted by the Norwegian Agricultural Advisory Service for the Green Producers’ Cooperation Council.

According to the Norwegian Directorate of Agriculture, the potato quality is also reported to be generally worse this year.

Despite the decline, this year’s potato crop appears to be 6% above the average yield from 2002–2019.
