Three men taken to hospital after car chase

Three people have been transported to Hamar hospital after a car chase in Hedmark on Wednesday morning.

– A burglary was committed in Elverum on Wednesday morning at the Norwegian Forestry Museum, and  a red Mercedes with three young men was observed at about the same time. The car was reported to be stolen from a garage in Follo earlier,   leader of operations  in Inland police, Dyre Antonsen, says.

The police announced on Twitter at 6:43 that a car did not stop for police on the road between Elverum and Trysil. A car chase through Nybergsund ensued, before the police minutes later reported that the car had run off the road on the county road 26 at Lutnes, not far from the Swedish border.

Three young men from southernmost Norway were in the car, and all of them have been driven to Inland Hospital in Hamar. The extent of their  injuries is still not clear.
– All three of them were up and running and awake , but the car ran off the road at a high speed, Antonsen says.
The three men are 19 to 25 years of age, and all of them are familiar to the police before, according Operations Officer.
