Three people are injured, one of them critically injured, after a stabbing incident in Nore in Buskerud. The suspected perpetrator has been arrested.

The extent of the injuries is unclear for the other two injured people, police station chief Håvard Revå at the Kongsberg Police Station told the newspaper Dagbladet.

The police have control of the suspected perpetrator. Police believe the people have been stabbed at random. The newspaper VG writes that the fire brigade was first on the scene, and that it apprehended the perpetrator.

Near a Joker store

The stabbing incident took place outdoors, near a Joker store, according to the newspaper Laagendalsposten. The village of Nore is located about 80 kilometers northwest of Kongsberg.

Communications manager Åge-Christoffer Lundeby in Vy told NTB that two of their buses were parked near the Joker store where the incident took place.

“It is, of course, a deeply tragic event when something like that happens. The municipality will use its apparatus and set up the necessary crisis team in consultation with the police,” Mayor Jan Gaute Bjerke in Nore og Uvdal told VG.

According to the witnesses that Laagendalsposten has spoken to, several ambulances and air ambulances are on the site.
