“The man’s condition is very critical,” the Copenhagen police stated in a press briefing late Saturday night.

The shooting took place at a hookah café at an address between Frederiksberg and Nørrebro in the Danish capital. The police were notified of the case at 9:38 PM. There were four or six people present in the room.

The suspected perpetrator fled the scene after the shooting. He is described as a young man. It is unclear whether more people may have been involved.

On Friday, a 17-year-old Swedish boy was shot and killed, and a 15-year-old and a 28-year-old were injured in a hairdresser salon in Islev just outside Copenhagen. On Thursday, a man was shot and killed in Nørrebro.

The police have so far not been able to say whether there may be a connection between the shooting episodes. Still, they have previously stated that the man killed in Nørrebro on Thursday was known to the police in connection with gang activities.
