Three soldiers suffered heat stroke during shooting test in Bergen

Three soldiers overheated while conducting the entrance examination for the special force at Haakonsvern in Bergen on Monday.

 

The incidents occurred during a 5,000-meter test run that is part of the naval course for the Naval Guard Command, wrote NRK news. Together with the Armed Forces Special Command, they represent the Armed Forces special forces.

‘’I can confirm that three candidates overheated. They received immediate medical help on the spot before being taken to hospital, said spokesman for the Armed Forces, Colonel Lieutenant Frank Sølvsberg.
Two of the people were signed out of the hospital on Tuesday morning.The third is still in for observation, but according to the Colonel Lieutenant, is doing well.

In the past few days, Bergen has had a series of hot days. At Flesland, the nearest measurement station to Haakonsvern, 24.5 degrees was measured at 15.00 on Monday.
