Tine promises longer yogurt spoons after criticism from consumers

The wooden spoon that comes with Tine’s yogurt cups has created a lot of frustration among consumers. In early November, a replacement will be in place, Tine promises.

The ban on disposable plastic led to plastic spoons being replaced by wooden spoons. This applies, among other things, to Tine’s yogurt cups. The spoons have been criticized for their limited functionality and the fact that they have been wrapped in plastic.

In October, Tine will launch a new bamboo spoon. It should be as long as the well-known and beloved plastic spoon, and it will be available in shops in early November. The plastic around the spoon will be replaced with paper.

“We hope that people are happy again,” Bjørn Malm, head of sustainability in Tine, told Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK).
