TINE has decided to recall milk and cream in Telemark, Vestfold and Buskerud because it is suspected that it may contain residues of wash water.

The milk in question will have a “Best by” date on 26th and July 28th, said the dairy group.

The recall applies to the following products: 1,75 L Extra Light TineMelk, 3 dl Organic Whipped cream, 1 L Light TineMelk, 1L Skimmed TineMelk, 1 L Organic Light TineMelk and 1 L Hel TineMelk.

– We have decided to be proactive and withdraw products because there should be no residues of washing water in products from TINE. In this case, however, it is a question of a very dilute cleaning solution so that the probability of damage to health is low, says TINE.

According to TINE this error was made by a robot this is the milk producer’s reason why traces of wash water may have gotten into the milk.

– Even small concentrations will be easy to spot, as it affects the product’s taste and smell, the company said.

Consumers who have purchased the affected products may return them to the store to get them replaced or get their money back. All products were delivered to stores in Telemark, Vestfold and Buskerud.
