Traffic at Sandefjord Airport Torp decreased by as much as 76% in September compared with the same period last year.

A total of 45,080 passengers traveled to and from the airport in September.

The decline is greatest when it comes to foreign travel.

A total of 26,633 passengers traveled to and from other countries to Torp in September, which corresponds to a decrease of as much as 81% from September last year.

The number of domestic trips from Torp has also almost halved last month.

“Traffic is now only about 25% of what is expected, and we expect it to remain at this level for several months to come.

“More and more airlines are taking breaks on several of the routes and reducing the number of weekly options sharply through the winter,” marketing and communications manager Tine Kleive-Mathisen noted in a press release.
