Eight out of ten who are going on Easter holiday, are staying in Norway. Even more people than last year say they want to stay in a cottage in the Easter with friends and family, skiing and having outdoor activities.
This is revealed in a survey conducted by TNS Gallup on behalf of NHO tourism union.
Half of those surveyed are going on the Easter holiday this year and of these, four out of five will spend the holiday in Norway. This is on par with last year. The biggest change is what people plan to do on their vacation, whether it is in Norway or abroad.
Topping the list of Easter holiday activities in Norway is the cottage, skiing, outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends. More than last year says that this is something are among their top priorities this year. This is also a clear trend for the people travelling abroad: Far more than in the past said that skiing and outdoor activities,  visits to friend and family, and staying at the cottage or at a vacation home is the main goal of their vacation abroad, while  previous favourites like food and wine experiences, cultural experiences and city vacations  are losing ground among those travelling abroad.
