Train passengers in Norway are satisfied with the service on board the trains, but the information in the event of delays and cancellations is too poor, according to a new survey.

Passengers also state that it is easy to buy a ticket but are not satisfied with the network coverage on board trains, the Norwegian Railway Directorate’s customer survey shows.

“There is an ambition in the National Transport Plan that we will get better network coverage along the railway in the period up to 2027, and we have commissioned Bane Nor to prepare a proposal for a development plan that describes where it should be developed first,” railway director Knut Sletta stated.

A total of 8,205 train passengers throughout Norway responded to the survey in April and May.
