Tromsø is not introducing new corona measures, but it plans to issue recommendations at a press conference on Thursday.
Mayor Gunnar Wilhelmsen (AP) shared details on the new recommendation with the newspaper VG.
“There will be no new measures, only recommendations. We will recommend the use of face masks, the meter of distance, and home office,” Wilhelmsen told the newspaper.
The decision was made due to high corona infection rates in Tromsø. On Wednesday, a new infection record was set in the Municipality with 59 new registered cases. In addition, 16 people with corona have been admitted to the University Hospital of Northern Norway (UNN) in Tromsø.
