Tromsø will not introduce stricter corona measures at this moment. The Municipality has control over the infection situation.

On Thursday and Friday, a total of 23 people were diagnosed with the coronavirus. Out of the 23, 20 are from the same infection cluster. On Saturday morning, no new cases were registered.

“Today, we have control over everyone who has tested positive when it comes to where they have been and who they have been with. There are no loose ends,” Mayor Gunnar Wilhelmsen (AP) said at a press conference on Saturday.

Wilhelmsen says that stricter measures will be used if necessary, but that this was not the case now. Developments are being closely monitored.

“Our assessment is that such measures are not necessary. There is little intention to close down further without the measures being clearly targeted. But this can change quickly,” Wilhelmsen added.
