A man in his 40s from Trøndelag has been sentenced to one year and four months in prison for several cases of abuse against dogs. The man confessed to everything.

“The actions took place in front of a large number of dogs. It is assumed that the abuse involved about 20 to 30 different dogs.

“He mainly abused male dogs… To a large extent, the accused’s own dogs have been exposed to the actions, but in part, dogs that he cared for belonging to other people have also been exploited,” the verdict states.

The case was processed as a confession case in Trøndelag District Court on Monday this week.

The assaults took place between 2010 and 2020 at the man’s home and other locations. He also made it possible for other people to abuse his dogs.
