Three people were sent to the hospital after a car collided with an ambulance in Kolvereid north of Trøndelag.

“There were four people involved in the accident – the driver of the car and three people in the ambulance. Two of the people in the ambulance were transported by air ambulance,” operations manager Arnt-Harald Aaslund in the Trøndelag Police District told the newspaper Adresseavisen.

The accident happened a little after 10 AM on Monday.

The ambulance drove at up to 85 kilometers per hour in a 70-zone, and there was a powerful collision. The ambulance ended up in the ditch with major material damages, the newspaper Trønder-Avisa writes.
