Police have charged two carers with violence against a child. The condition of the child, who has been admitted to St. Olav’s hospital, is life-threatening, the police say.

The police have started an investigation after they received a report from the hospital that a child was admitted with internal injuries on Friday, December 4.

“The police take all cases involving possible violence against children very seriously.

“We give high priority to the case and have started a broad investigation. We are in an early phase (of the investigation).

We’re working with several hypotheses,” Silje Noem, police attorney in Trøndelag Police District, said.

  1. Why was the child under “carers'” “care” instead of the child’s biological parents?

And who was responsible – is accountable – for giving the child to those “carers?”
