During the last 24 hours, 33 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Trondheim.

The local authorities will be informed by municipal director Morten Wolden about the ongoing outbreak of infection in the city on Wednesday morning, according to the newspaper Adresseavisen.

According to the national vaccination register SYSVAK from the National Institute of Public Health (FHI), 34,053 people have been fully vaccinated in Trondheim as of June 1, while more than 53,000 have received their first dose.

Corona measures were tightened in Trondheim on Monday after rising infection rates and suspicion of an outbreak of the Indian virus variant.

The Municipality has, among other things, introduced a full ban on alcohol serving and a ban on visits by more than two guests indoors. The local regulations are maintained until June 8.
