On Sunday, 69 cases of corona infection were registered in Trondheim. So far, two cases of the omicron variant have been confirmed in the city.

The sequencing of five more tests of suspected omicron infection is still underway, the Municipality stated on Monday.

Trondheim Municipality encourages everyone who has been in places with a lot of infection to pay special attention to symptoms.

“It is important that you get tested if you suspect infection. You should have a low threshold for staying home in case of illness. Also, consider whether you can reduce social activity after returning home,” chief medical officer Elizabeth Kimbell stated.

The number of infection cases amounted to 133 on Friday and 122 on Saturday. A total of 588 PCR tests were taken on Saturday, while 458 PCR tests were taken on Sunday.
